Following the reveal of the artwork for their comeback single, Rebirth, the London-based space metal band Esprit D’Air have now released the track itself on their new official VEVO channel.
“Rebirth” is the band’s first release in four years and is out now, worldwide on iTunes and Google Play.
To celebrate the release of Rebirth there will be a two-date mini-tour, with members Kai, Ellis and Daishi performing at Le Trianon, Paris on 17 December (click here for tickets), and at Zigfrid von Underbelly, London on 18 December (click here for tickets). Limited tickets with free Rebirth posters have already been sold out, with only general admission tickets left for their London show.
The band reformed six months ago after a three year hiatus, leaving guitarist Kai to take on the role of vocalist. “It is my first time singing in a band. I have always been able to sing, but I just wanted to be known as a guitarist,” said Kai. “Now, I really enjoy singing. I just hope that my voice will give the band a fresh new sound that people can enjoy.”
Esprit D’Air are not seeking a major record label, but instead follow a strong DIY ethos and produce everything themselves to be as self-sufficient as possible. Consequently, they record, mix and master their own releases in their own home recording studio and produce the artwork themselves (the artwork for Rebirth was digitally painted by their drummer Daishi).
