Citrus is set to air in Japan in January 2018, but with the anime adaptation set to be simulcast on Crunchyroll and Funimation, publishers Ichijinsha have released a subtitled version of the latest teaser on their YouTube channel.
Yuzuko Aihara is forced to transfer to another school after her mother remarries. Her first day sees her make enemies with student council president, Mei. When Yuzuko arrives home, she’s surprised to discover that Mei is also her new stepsister. Despite being polar opposites they soon find themselves drawn to one another.
From animation studio Passione, the series is directed by Takeo Takahashi and features the vocal talents of Ayana Taketatsu as Yuzuko Aihara, Minami Tsuda as Mei Aihara, Yukiyo Fujii as Harumi Taniguchi and Yurika Kubo as Himeko Momokino. The manga is currently ongoing and is published by Ichijinsha in Comic Yuri Hime magazine.
Citrus airs in Japan on AT-X from 6 January 2018, and on Sun TV and Tokyo MX the following day. It will stream on Crunchyroll with English subtitles and on Funimation with an English dub.
