Japanese rock band BAND-MAID has released a new music video, DOMINATION. It is the first video to be released from their upcoming album, WORLD DOMINATION.
With the band having spoken about their goal for world domination, the video takes on the style of Russian Constructivism as we see people and leaders of the world having their faces replaced with BAND-MAID’s new ribbon logo. Members Miku (guitar and vocals), Saiki (vocals), Kanami (guitar), Akane (drums) and Misa (bassist) are also seen drinking tea, eating candy floss and apples, and playing a BAND-MAID board game (which looks similar to Monopoly).
As well as references to Fidget Spinners and Donald Trump, the video also features this:
WORLD DOMINATION is released on 14 February 2018. with two Limited Edition versions.
Limited Edition A comes with a Blu-ray featuring their serving at Shinkiba STUDIO COAST, which took place on 24 November 2017. Limited Edition B comes with a DVD of the Shinkiba STUDIO COAST serving. The Normal Edition is just the CD, but includes a bonus track, the band’s cover of Mucc’s Honey (which was originally released on Mucc’s album Shangri-La).
