This is the kawaii Barbie doll you have been waiting for. While this is not the first time that Barbie has teamed up with Sanrio’s mascot (having previously collaborated in 2008), her outfit this time is heavily inspired by Hello Kitty, notably her signature red bow.

Designed by Mattel’s fashion designer Robert Best, not only is the Hello Kitty Barbie wearing a red bow herself, but her sweater also features bow buttons and Hello Kitty’s face. There are embroidered bow details on her skirt too and even her shoes come with little red bows. Plus Barbie has a Hello Kitty handbag and a Hello Kitty figure.

It all comes packaged in a nice collector’s box too that includes a doll stand and certificate of authenticity.

The Gold Label Barbie Signature Doll is now up for pre-order from Mattel’s website, retailing at $100 (about £76 / €86). The doll will ship from 1 December 2017 (and in case you’re wondering, Mattel do ship internationally).
