John Carpenter resurrects Christine with music video for Anthology

It might not be the sequel to Christine you were hoping for, but this music video sees John Carpenter return to directing the Plymouth Fury that was born bad, based on the novel by Stephen King.

The video is to promote Carpenter’s Anthology: Movie Themes 1974-1998, which includes 13 themes he recorded for his films, such as The Thing, Halloween, Escape From New York and Assault on Precinct 13. It is released on 20 October via Sacred Bones Records (who last month released an audio clip of In the Mouth of Madness). Anthology can be pre-ordered by clicking here.

October will also see Carpenter begin a tour across the US, performing his themes in front of a live audience. Venues and dates can be found by clicking here.

The music video itself stars Christine, Rita Volk (from the MTV series Faking It) and also features John Carpenter himself. Click play below… and see if you can spot a reference to Carpenter’s The Thing.
