You’ll soon be able to play Tomb Raider like never before, as Mattel are set to release an officially licensed Lara Croft Tomb Raider Barbie doll.
As reported by IGN, the doll was unveiled by Mattel at New York’s Toy Fair over the weekend and is based on Alicia Vikander’s portrayal of Lara Croft in the upcoming film released in March. The film itself is based on the rebooted video game from Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix that was released back in 2013.
Designed by Bill Greening, the doll replicates the look from both the film and the game, with Lara in a tanktop and cargo trousers, sporting bandages on her arm and leg. The doll has a fully articulated body and comes with a climbing ax, map and journal. The box also includes a doll stand and certificate of authenticity.
The Barbie Signature doll is available to pre-order at a cost of $29.99 (around £21) and will ship from 9 March 2018, a week before the film opens in the US and UK. And in case you’re wondering, Mattel do ship internationally.
